How TechAcc Accountants uses cookies on this website, what each one does and how you can control them, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help the site work, remember your choices and, in some cases, let other services load content on the page. This policy explains the cookies used on techacc.co.za and should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit our website, a cookie notice asks for your permission. Only necessary cookies are set before you choose. You can accept all cookies, deny the optional ones or open Preferences to choose by category.
We remember your choice for 180 days. You can change your mind at any time by clicking the small cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page.

4. Cookie categories
- Necessary: needed for the website to work, such as remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional: remember choices you make, such as articles you have viewed or saved.
- Analytics: we do not currently use any analytics cookies.
- Advertising: we do not use any advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Third-party services
Some content on our website is delivered by other providers:
- Google Maps shows our office location on the Contact page. When the map loads, Google may set its own cookies, such as NID, and Google’s privacy policy applies to them. Our address and directions are also listed in our contact details if you prefer not to use the map.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and from our website theme provider’s servers. These do not set cookies, but your browser shares your IP address with those servers so the fonts can be delivered.
- Consent records are kept by Elementor, the provider of our cookie notice, so that we can show what you agreed to if we are asked.
Some of these providers process information outside South Africa. We use only reputable providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Besides our cookie notice, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, some parts of the website may not work as intended, and we will not be able to remember your cookie choices.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the cookies on our website change. The latest version will always be available on this page.
